How to Customize the Zoom Waiting Room

How to Customize the Zoom Waiting Room

Posted on May 30, 2021 by Judy Sanhz 1 Comment

Zoom’s waiting room feature is a great way to keep unauthorized participants out of your meetings. But those participants that you do authorize will also end up there. So, why not give the waiting room your own personal touch so the participant feels like you’re trying to make their Zoom visit as comfortable as possible.

There aren’t many things you can add to the waiting room, but it’ll look different. Customizing the waiting room for the participants will make them feel more welcome, making their return for future meetings more possible.

How to Personalize Your Zoom Waiting Room

To give the Zoom waiting room your own personal touch, you’ll need to go to Zoom’s official site and sign in to your account. Once you’re in, click on the Settings option to the left and scroll down until you come across the Waiting Room option.

Ensure the Waiting room option is enabled, and right below, click on the Customize Waiting Room. A new window will appear with the option you can personalize. For example, you can add an image, but it can’t surpass 1MB in size.

To change the text in the indicated areas, click on the pencil icon. To save your text, simply click on the checkmark. The image you add should also be in GIF, JPG,or PNG format. Also, the width of the logo can’t be bigger than 60px and can’t exceed 400px.

The changes you make to your Zoom waiting room will be the same for all your meetings. So, remember to change what the waiting room says before each Zoom meeting. It might be a little embarrassing to have a goofy message you added for a friend’s meeting appear in a meeting with co-workers.

Conclusion

Customizing the Zoom waiting room prevents your meetings from having an impersonal vibe to them. The good news is that the changes are easy to make, and the changes are applied immediately. How will you be personalizing your Waiting room on Zoom? Let me know in the comments below, and don’t forget to share the article with others on social media.

I have customised my wait room. In settings Wait room has been enables.
However when I sent link for a participant to click the usual
Susan Personal Meeting room “wait for the host to start this meeting”. comes on the screen.
My customized wait room with Logo and text does not come up.
I would appreciate if you could you provide some assistance.
