If you’ve purchased a subscription or used a free trial of Avast VPN and have decided that you don’t want to use it anymore, you should make sure you do so before your subscription automatically renews.
Important tip: Uninstalling the VPN app from your computer, phone or other device doesn’t cancel your subscription. You will still be changed when the current subscription expires.
The easiest way to cancel your subscription is by contacting Avast customer service through this online form. All you need is the email address associated with the purchase and the original Order ID. The Order ID can be found on the order confirmation email from when you purchased the subscription. Just complete the form and click “Submit request” and an Avast customer service representative will complete the process and confirm the cancellation for you.

Tip: If you’re cancelling within the 30-day money-back guarantee period and want to claim your refund, you can do so through the same form. To do so, change the pre-filled answer to question two in the form to “I want a refund”, then complete and submit the form as before.
If you’ve purchased your subscription on mobile through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, you’ll instead need to cancel your subscription through the respective store.
Google Play Store
To cancel your subscription on Android, you need to first open the Google Play Store, then tap the burger menu icon and select “Subscriptions” from the menu. In the list of subscriptions tap the Avast SecureLine VPN subscription, then scroll down to the bottom, tap “Cancel Subscription” and follow the on-screen instructions to cancel your subscription.
Apple App Store
To cancel your subscription on iOS, open the App Store, then tap the profile icon in the top-right corner. On the account screen tap “Manage Subscriptions”, select Avast SecureLine VPN from the list, then tap “Cancel Subscription” at the bottom of the page and follow the on-screen instructions.
Tip: Refunds for purchases made through the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store are offered only at the discretion of the respective store owners. You may not be able to get the 30-day refund advertised online.
