There have been a few times where my Moto G5 Plus has absolutely failed to power on. When pressing power a few times doesn’t do the job, here are some things you can try.
- Remove the phone from any case you may have it placed inside. Sometimes the case can cause sensors or buttons to malfunction.
- Plug the device in to a wall outlet for a few seconds. Even if the battery appeared to be full before the problems, it may have drained quicker than you think.
- While the device is plugged in, press and hold the “Power” and “Volume Down” buttons for about 20 seconds. This is a way to soft reset the phone.
Hopefully, all is working now. If after these steps the Moto G5 still won’t turn on, it may be time to call your dealer to see if you can swap it out for a new one.
