The Best Oculus Apps to Look Forward to in 2020

The games coming out of Oculus this year look better than ever before. For Virtual Reality fans, these are some must have games that you cannot miss. We’ve pulled our favorites from all three of the Oculus experiences: Quest, Rift, and Go.

Ghost Giant

Experience: Oculus Quest

Price: $24.99

Developer: Zoink Games

Release Date: February 20, 2020

Ghost Giant is a single player adventure game. Here, you have the chance to protect Louis. Louis is a lonely little boy who lives in a unique world with lots of ginormous hurdles. As you help him out, you can meet his friends, visit new villages, and solve problems together.

The game is playable offline and is rated E, making it appropriate for most users.

AUDICA

Experience: Oculus Quest

Price: $29.99

Developer: Harmonix Music Systems, Inc

Release Date: January 28, 2020

Audica is an incredible blend of music and target shooting. You can choose your favorite songs and shoot to match the beat. Your score increases as you hit each not correctly and on time. You can even download additional songs, like “Believer” by Imagine Dragons, to keep you jamming out.

This game requires an internet connection, and is rated T for teenage and older players.

BONEWORKS

Experience: Oculus Rift

Price: $29.99

Developer: Stress Level Zero

Release Date: February 20, 2020

If you’re looking for an intense action experience, you have to check out Boneworks. As a security director for the mysterious Monogon Industries, you can solve puzzles and interact with physics-based weapons. You’ll even be able to use items around you for combat and trapping.

This game requires an internet connection, and is rated M for players ages 17 and older.

Vengeful Rites

Experience: Oculus Rift

Price: $19.99

Developer: Deep Dive Interactive

Release Date: February 18, 2020

While it was released already, Vengeful Rites is still in Early Access Mode. This means that you can still play it in a beta mode, but the game is still technically being developed. In this fantasy game, your task is to defend the world from invading monsters while protecting ancient artifacts. The game has an intuitive system and customizable supplies.

This game does not require an internet connection, and is rated T for teenage and older players.

Jigsaw 360 Demo

Experience: Oculus Go

Price: Free

Developer: Head Start Design

Release Date: February 20, 2020

Are you a puzzle fanatic? If so, Jigsaw 360 Demo is the perfect game for you. Set to calming music and nature sounds, it allows you to build spherical puzzles while enjoying breathtaking views. While the demo only includes two puzzles, the full version is expected to offer 10, with additional flat puzzles as well.

The game is playable offline and is rated E, making it appropriate for most users.

First Day: On Set

Experience: Oculus Go

Price: Free

Developer: The Third Floor Inc

Release Date: February 13, 2020

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to be on a movie set, then First Day: On Set should be your next download. You’ll get a first-hand tour of a studio as its newest production runner, learning about each department and talking with professionals.

This game does not require an internet connection, and is rated T for teenage and older players.
