How to Unlike a Picture on Instagram

How to Disable Instagram’s “Activity Status” Feature on Social Media

We all change our mind sometimes – this includes things we like. In the case of Instagram, unliking posts is relatively easy. You need to find the post again – either by scrolling up and back to the post you liked, or by finding it through your post history.

To do the latter, go to your profile and then to Settings. Under the Account option, you’ll be able to click on the Posts You’ve Liked option. From there, you can see the last 300 posts you’ve liked in the app.

In order to actually unlike them, whether you liked it by clicking below the post or double-tapping, you need to single tap the post.

That’s right – it’s as simple as a single tap!

Unliking something will remove the like alert that the other party receives (though not instantly, it can take a few moments). If you un-like and re-like a post, the other party will only receive one notification, not multiple ones!
