Microsoft Teams: We Can’t Edit This Call Queue Error

Microsoft Teams: We Can’t Edit This Call Queue Error

Posted on January 28, 2021 by Madalina Dinita Leave a Comment

The Teams Admin Center is the place where IT admins can manage their organization’s Teams accounts. Many of you would expect the Teams Admin Center to be an error-free tool. However, that’s not always the case. In this guide, we’re going to talk about the error that says you can’t edit the call queue. Let’s see what you can do when this annoying error pops up on the screen.

Fix Microsoft Teams: We Can’t Edit This Call Queue

⇒ Note: Check the Teams service status. If there’s a known service incident or server problem for the admin portal, wait until Microsoft has fixed the issue on their end.

Disable Your Extensions

If you’re using an ad blocker or privacy extension, temporarily disable these extensions. It’s a known fact that ad blocking extensions can interfere with the scripts of the webpages you’re visiting. If your browser extensions are indeed blocking the scripts of the Teams Admin Center, the error should disappear as soon as you turn them off.

Check Enterprise Voice Settings

If Enterprise Voice has been disabled for some of the users from the call queue, this may prevent admins from editing the call queue. The solution consists of removing the respective users from the call queue.

After that, you can tweak the settings for the problematic user accounts so as to enable Enterprise Voice. For more information, you can check out this support page on Microsoft’s website: Enable users for Direct Routing, voice, and voicemail.

Conclusion

If you can’t edit the call queue in the Teams Admin Center, make sure Enterprise Voice is enabled for all the users in the queue. It appears that’s the most common cause of this problem.

If you’re a Teams admin, we’d love to hear more from you. Did you come across other solutions to troubleshoot this problem? Feel free to list the steps to follow in the comments below.
