Save Mobile Data and Some Serious Cash with These Top 5 Apps

Save Mobile Data and Some Serious Cash with These Top 5 Apps

By Judy Sanhz 1 Comment

One of the things that all Android users worry about is saving as much mobile data as possible. If you’re not careful and don’t keep it under control, you could end up with one expensive phone bill.

There are plenty of apps that claim to save your mobile data, but which ones are the best? The following apps are the most used apps to help you limit your mobile data use and save you some cash.

1. Opera Max Data Manager

Besides protecting your privacy as a VPN, Opera Max Data Manager also saves your mobile data. You save mobile data because the apps have to go through Opera’s serves that compress the data.

So, you end up with the compressed data that helps you save mobile data. It can monitor any app you have on your phone, and you can also block any apps from accessing your mobile data/WiFi.

It can also control your WiFi and tell you how many KB each app is using. In the Privacy tab, you can see what apps are a risk and which ones are not.

2. My Data Manager

With 5 million downloads and counting, My Data Manager is one of the most popular data saving apps on Google Play. It can track your usage on WiFi, roaming, and mobile. There is also text and call tracking, so you know how much time you have left.

You can also see what apps are using the most data and it’s also possible to track how much mobile data other family members use. There is also an option where you can add the details of what mobile plan you’re on so you get more personalized information on how you can save more mobile data.

Set custom alarms, so you know when you’re close to reaching our limit. You can configure the alarm for WiFi, Roaming, and Mobile. The app is easy to use and has a great design.

3. Apus Browser

Apus Browser has the features you need to save as much mobile data as possible. For example, you can set it up so it won’t load any images, saving quite a bit of bandwidth.

You can also save bandwidth by using the Speed function. What this feature does is that it compresses the data so you can save but it does lower the image quality though. You can even have a good browsing experience on a 2G network, but hopefully, you’ll always be using 4G.

Apus Browser can also block ads, and you can have fun with HTML 5 games thanks to the Game Mode feature. It can also support seven search engines and has other useful features such as voice search, night mode, gesture control, and more.

4. DataEye

DataEye lets you decide what apps have access to your mobile data. In the Control tab, you can see what apps are open and below, all the apps you can block. Once you block them, those apps won’t be able to access your mobile data.

In the Usage tab, you can see what apps are using the most mobile data. DataEye can also give you the same information even if you’re on WiFi.

You can see the top ten apps that use the most WiFi so you can decide whether to install them or not. It’s a good-looking app that is easy to use and can lower that monthly phone bill.

5. Internet Speed Meter Lite

Internet Speed Meter Lite is different from all the apps on this list. The app is ad-free and gives you real-time speed updates in your phone’s status bar.

You also get notifications, traffic usage notification and gives you WiFi and Mobile data stats in an organized table. When you first install it, you’ll see the exact same thing in the image above. Give the app some time and you’ll soon start to see some numbers.

Conclusion

It’s important to keep your mobile data under control to avoid high phone bills at the end of the month. By using one of these apps, you should be able to keep things under control. How do you keep your mobile data under control? Leave a comment below and share your experience.
