Want to automate all of the slides in PowerPoint 2007? Here’s how.
1. Click Home then click somewhere in the left Slides pane.
2. Hold down Ctrl and press the A key. All of the slides should show as highlighted on in the pane.

3. Click the Animations tab. Over to the left you can select Automatically After and set time you wish to display each slide.

Now your slides should change to the next one automatically.

If you have a file that is sensitive to changes, you can force Excel 2007 to prompt the user to open as Read Only whenever they attempt to open the file. Here’s how to enable this setting.
1. In Excel, click the Microsoft Office Button and click Save As.
2. Click Tools > General Options.
3. Click the box for Read-only recommended.
4. Click OK.
5. Click Save.
6. If prompted, click Yes to update the file with the read-only setting.

You get an error when you try to write an email in Microsoft Outlook:
Microsoft Word is set to be your e-mail editor. However, Word is unavailable, not installed, or is not the same version as Outlook. The Outlook e-mail editor will be used instead. An OLE registration error occurred. The program is not correctly installed. Run setup again for the program.
To try to fix this problem, perform the following steps.
1. Click Start > Run or hold down the Windows Key and press R.
2. Type regsvr32 ole32.dll and click OK.
You should get a response the the registration succeeded. Click OK. and try Outlook again.

Disable the message Are you sure you want to permanently delete all the items and subfolders in the “folder name” folder, when you are cleaning items out of a folder such as the Deleted Items folder and save a step every time.

By default, Word 2007 doesn’t have the useful Send to Mail Recipeint option available on the toolbar. Here’s how to add it.
1. Click the small down arrow on the right-hand side of the Quick Access Toolbar, and select More Commands.
2. Under the Choose commands from list, select All Commands.
3. Select Send to Mail Recipient, and then click Add.
4. Click OK.

Want to easily create PDF documents using Office 2007? Microsoft has a tool that makes it easy.
1. Download and install the 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS.
2. From the Office program (Word 2007, Excel 2007, etc.) and the file you wish to make into a PDF, click the Office button in the top left corner.
3. Hover the mouse arrow over Save As.
4. Under Save a copy of the document click PDF.
5. In the Save as type, select PDF (*.pdf).
6. Select either Standard (publishing online and printing) or Minimum size (publishing online).
7. Click Publish and you’re done.

How to easily import slides from another presentation in PowerPoint 2007.
1. Open PowerPoint and the file you wish to import slides into.
2. Click the Home menu.
3. Click New Slide > Reuse Slides…

4. The Reuse Slides options will appear on the right side. Click Browse… > Browse File…

1. Select the columns or rows that are before and after the one you would like to unhide.

2. Click Home > Format > Hide & Unhide > Unhide Columns or Unhide Rows.

3. The column or row should now be unhidden.

Are you unable to modify cells because they are locked? Here’s how to lock or unlock cells in Excel 2007.
1. Select the cells you to be able to modify.
2. Choose Home > Cells > Format > Cells.
3. Click the Protection tab.
4. Uncheck the box for Locked to unlock the cells. Check the box to Lock them. Click OK.

When you try to open a file attachment in Outlook, you get an error:
Can’t create file: filename. Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder.
This problem occurs usually when Outlook cannot access the temp file the file is linked to. To resolve this problem, try the following steps:
1. Click Start > Run and type regedit.
2. Click Edit > Find and type OutlookSecureTempFolder.
3. When regedit has found the entry, it will tell you where your Outlook temporary files are stored. It will look similar to:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLKrandomnumber
4. Open My Computer and navigate to this location on your hard drive.
5. Delete all of the files in this folder.
6. Restart Microsoft Outlook and you should be able to open your attachment.

When you attempt to open Microsoft Office 2008, you get an error that says:
Microsoft Office 2008 is already in use
This error means that somebody else on the network is running Microsoft Office 2008 with the same product ID. Each copy of Office 2008 that is running on a network must have a different product ID. To resolve this issue, you must remove the licensing information from at least one of the computers and replace it with new information.
1. Disconnect the computer from the network.
2. Open the hard disk where Mac OS X is installed, and then open Applications.
3. Open Microsoft Office 2008, double-click Additional Tools, and then double-click Remove Office.
4. Double-click Remove Office, press and hold down the Option key, click Remove Licensing Information Only, and then click Remove.
Note: The Continue command label changes to Remove Licensing Information Only when you press the Option key.
5. Close the Remove Office window, and then click Quit.
6. Start Office 2008. When prompted, enter the correct licensing information.

You can’t enable Use Cached Exchange Mode because it is grayed out.
This is likely because of a Group Policy that is in effect on your computer. If you are on a company network, you might want to contact an administrator to disable it. Otherwise, you can try to enable it yourself.
1. Hold down the Windows key and press R. (Or click Start > Run and type regedit)
2. Type regedit and click OK.
3. Click the plus sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
then Software
then Microsoft
then Office
then 12.0
then Outlook
then click OST
4. Right-click the NoOST entry on the right and click Modify.
5. Give it a value of 0.
6. Restart Outlook 2007 and the Use Exchange Mode option shouldn’t be grayed out anymore.

There are some email messages where recipients shouldn’t be allowed to ‘Reply to all’. There is a way in Outlook 2007 to disable the option and prevent users from using it. Here’s how to create a form to accomplish this:
1. From the Tools menu, click Forms > Design a Form.

2. In the Standard Forms Library click Message, and then click Open.

How to enable your iPhone to sync with the Outlook 2007 Calendar in Windows.
1. Open iTunes and connect your iPhone to the PC.
2. Select your iPhone on the left pane.
3. Click the Info tab toward the top of the screen.
4. Under the Calendars section, turn on Sync calendars from Outlook. Set any of the other options listed as needed.
5. Click Apply and you’re done.
