Windows 10: How to Switch to Scientific Calculator

Windows 10: How to Switch to Scientific Calculator

By Mel Hawthorne Leave a Comment

The calculator that comes with your Windows 10 machine is useful, but you may not be aware of just how useful it can be – it offers far more than the basic functions you get at a glance. If you want to use the full scientific calculator, here’s how.

First, you need to open the normal calculator. You can do so by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard, typing in ‘calculator’ and then pressing Enter. The calculator will open, and at the top left corner, you’ll see a burger menu.

The calculator menu

Click on it and you’ll see a series of options for your calculator. Near the top is the option for scientific. Click on it and your calculator will switch to scientific mode – complete with various trigonometric options, functions, exponentials, and more!

To switch back, use the burger menu to change mode again.
