PS4: Battlefield 4 Plays in Spanish

December 7, 2018 by Mitch Bartlett 27 Comments

If you were lucky enough to get your hands on a Sony PS4 and a copy of Battlefield 4, you may have noticed a problem with the game where it plays in Spanish. Fortunately the fix is easy.

It seems that the game was coded to look to see if the system language is set to “English (US)” for it to actually play in English. If it doesn’t detect that specific setting, it may play the game in Spanish. This seems to be occurring for the gamers who have their language set to “English (UK)”.

While a fix will most likely arrive soon, for the time being, just switch your PS4 over to “English (US)” unless you like enemigos instead of enemies.

1. Go to “Settings”.

2. Select “Language”.

3. Select “System Language”.

4. Choose “English (United Kingdom)”.

After this setting is changed on the PS4, Battlefield 4 should no longer play in Spanish.

    Hi guys,
I have tried selected English (UK) & (USA) on PS4, but the game still play in some European language (menu and substitles are in English ).

Is there any other ways to change my game to English speaking ?

Hi everyone, if anyone is facing any issue with the language change to English, please do not panic, you can change the language from the settings, go to settings>language>system Language and select English ( united kingdom or united states). Once its saves your settings from the PS4 main menu. Then try to restart the game by pressing PS button on the controller. It will change it to the English in the battlefield game 4. It worked for me :) Hurrah!
