Install Pinterest Button on Chrome, IE, Firefox & Safari

Pinterest has long been a website that connects people with ideas. Pinterest fans have searched for ideas for meals, house decorating, crafts, jewelry, fashion, and so much more. It also helps professionals connect with clients and followers. Professionals can showcase their work on Pinterest and add other items that might be of interest to their followers.

Adding the Pin It button to your web browser allows you to pin things such as articles, blogs, and so on directly to your Pinterest account. This is actually a different process if you are installing it on Google Chrome. Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari uses different steps.

Adding Pin It Button on Google Chrome

  1. In the search bar of your web browser type Chrome Web Store.
  2. When the search page loads select the first option. This will bring up a new page.
  3. In the Search the store bar on the top left of the page type Pinterest.
  4. This will bring up a list of options on the right side of the page. You will want the first option. Click the blue Add to Chrome button. A new box will appear at the top of the screen asking you to confirm the action.
  5. Click the Add Extension button.
  6. It will take a moment to download. When it has finished downloading the red Pinterest button will appear in the top right corner of our web browser. A new page will appear with the title How to save a link.
  7. Done! You can now start pinning things to your Pinterest account.

Most other web browsers add the button using different steps than Google Chrome.

Adding Pin It Button on Other Web Browsers

  1. Type Pinterest Goodies in the search bar of your web browser. A new page will appear.
  2. Click the red Get our browser button.
  3. This will take you to another page. Click the blue Add to web browser button on the left side of the screen.
  4. It should take a moment before the button is installed.

Adding Pin It Button on Safari

  1. Type Pinterest Goodies in the search bar of your web browser. A new page will appear.
  2. Scroll down until you see The Pin Button. Click on the red Install now button.
  3. The add-on will appear in your Downloads folder. Click on it.
  4. A new screen will appear in Safari asking to confirm the action. Click on Install.
  5. The red Pin button will appear to the left of your address bar.

Adding Pin It Button on Internet Explorer

  1. Near your Internet Explorer tabs right click to show your Favorites Bar.
  2. Right click the Pin It button on the Pinterest page. When you do this some options will come up.
  3. Click on the Add to Favorites.
  4. A pop up window will appear. Click Create in: Favorites Bar.
  5. All done!

Adding Pint It Button on Firefox

  1. Type Pinterest Goodies in your address bar. This will load a search page. Click on the first option.
  2. Go to View in your Firefox browser. Click on Toolbars and then Bookmarks Toolbar.
  3. Drag the Pin It button from the Goodies page to the Bookmarks Toolbar.
  4. Finished!

Adding the Pin It button to your web browser is easy to do. It does not take a lot of download time or complicated steps. The button allows you to quickly add things directly from your web browser to your Pinterest account. Having this ease of adding items to your account makes it easy for you to grow your account and those who follow you on Pinterest.
