Chrome Extensions to Make Gmail More Productive

October 16, 2018 by Judy Sanhz 1 Comment

When you have a lot of things to do, the more time you can save the better. But, most of the time since you’re not aware of the tricks that can save you time, as a result, your tasks take longer to finish. There are various Gmail extensions you can use that will help you save some valuable time.

The following Gmail extensions will help you get things done faster by either allowing to send Email directly from the extension or allow you to create templates so you won’t have to time the same thing over and over.

1. Templates for Gmail

There are various reasons as to why you may need to send the same Email over and over. You may be looking for a job and need to send your resume to various sites and that’s when the Templates for Gmail extension comes in handy. So, instead of copying and pasting, you can simply click on the templates button.

Once installed, you’ll see two blue buttons at the bottom. To the left, one that says Templates and to the right, one that says New Templates. Click on Templates and you’ll see all the templates you’ve created and just click on Use to do just that.

You have two ways you can access the New Templates option, either through this one or by clicking on the button to the right. You’ll see an icon in Chrome but it’s just to show you the extension is installed, but it doesn’t do anything.

2. Rename Email

You can’t control how others write up their Emails. The problem with that is that the sender can easily create an Email with a subject like that doesn’t correctly describe what the Email is about. Thanks to Rename Email you can rename any Emails subject line to it can give you a better idea of what the Email is about.

When you change the subject line, the sender won’t get any type of notification that it was changed. If you reply to that Email with the new subject line, then the sender will see the new subject line.

3. Boomerang for Gmail

With Boomerang for Gmail, you’ll never forget to send an Email since you can program them for later. Not only can you send Emails but you can also program them to be returned. The Emails can be sent even if you’re not online and it’s also possible to track responses as well.

It also features cross-platforms read receipts so you know when your Email has been read. You can program Email for 1 hour, 2 hrs, 3 hrs, 4 hrs and as far along as a month. If you don’t see a time you need, you can also program the Email to be sent at a specific time.

There’s also an option to schedule a recurring message and you can easily find the Boomerang button since it’s red and right under the send button.

4. SnipHero

You can waste some valuable minutes by having to leave your Email to add content. How so? You can easily become distracted with what you’re looking for and maybe even forget you were writing an Email in the first place.

Thanks to SnipHero, you can add content from sites such as YouTube, Amazon, Twitter, Giphy, Spotify, Wikipedia, and more. Once the extension is installed, there will be a scissor icon next to the blue send button.

When you click on it, you’ll see a list of all the content you can add directly from the extension. Just click on the option you want and search for what you want to add.

5. Gmail Sender Icons

With Gmail Sender Icons, you’ll be able to easily find an Email from a particular sender because each one of them will have their icon displayed.

You can sure easily identify the YouTube icon but if it’s not displayed the Email maybe harder to find. The extension doesn’t do more than that but adding that visual help will help you save some valuable time.

6. FollowUp.cc

With FollowUp.cc you can also create templates but with the difference that with this extension, you create they for Emails you’ve already sent. With the previous extension, you would use templates for Emails you are going to send for the first time.

The extension will add a new column to your Gmail account where you can see all the reminders you have and all the tracked Emails will be. You can also see all the people you frequently contact.

The extension does give you a 14-day free trial without having to give out any important information. That way, you can see if this is the extension you need.

Conclusion

Thanks to these useful Gmail extensions for Chrome, you have no excuse not to be productive. You’ll see how they will make things a lot easier and that you’ll have more free time on your hands. Do you use one that is not on the list? If so, leave a comment and let me know which one it is.
