Samsung Galaxy S6: Enable or Disable USB Debugging

If you wish to use development tools with your Samsung Galaxy S6¬†smartphone, you will need to enable USB Debugging on the device. Here’s how.

  1. If you haven’t enabled the option already, go to “Apps” > “Settings” > “About phone” and tap “Build number” repeatedly until it says “You are now a developer“.
  2. You will now have an option under “Apps” > “Settings” called “Developer options” where you can enable or disable the “USB debugging” option.

Is there a way to remove the “Developer options” selection from settings?

You can only remove this option by performing a factory reset on the device.

is it possible to enable developer options / developer debugging when the phone is not booting up properly and goes to a stale state? The option above only applies when the phone boots up without any problem.

If i leave developer debugging enabled, will personal information be transferred? Will any of my contacts/data/music/videos be shared?
