Moto G5: Disable Spell Correction

Mitch BartlettJuly 20, 2017 Comments (9)

Need to learn how to disable spell correction on the Moto G5 Plus because it annoys you so much? Here are the steps.

  1. Slide open the list of apps, then choose “Settings“.
  2. Scroll down and choose “Languages & input“.
  3. Tap “Virtual keyboard“. Unless you are using a connected physical keyboard, then choose “Physical keyboard”.
  4. Select the keyboard you are using, which is likely listed as “Gboard“.
  5. Tap “Text correction“.
  6. Scroll down and turn off any of the options as desired:
    • Auto-correction
    • Auto-capitalization
    • Double-space period

I’m using a physical keyboard with my Motorola Moto g stylus 5g and I have lost my predictive text function. I followed the steps above and selected physical keyboard instead of virtual keyboard but I don’t get any options. Does this mean I can’t use this fuDa2nnction with my physical keyboard?
