Learn how to forward a text message from the Messages app on the Samsung Galaxy Note8 smartphone with these steps.

  1. Open the “Messages” app.
  2. Open the thread that contains the individual message you wish to forward.
  3. Tap and hold the message until a menu appears.
  4. Tap “Forward“.
  5. Type a recipient in the “Recipient” field.
  6. Add text if desired, then select “Send” to send the message.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I want to forward a text message string to an email.
When I click and hold on the message, my choices are: Pin; Archive; Delete; More. My “more” choices are: Mark as Unread; Add contact; Block.
I do not have any other choices on the main message.
If I go into the individual messages themselves, there is no option to “forward” nor to “share”. I can [add people; Details, Starred; Search; Archive. Delete. Show subject field. Block and report spam. Help and feedback] are the choices.
I need to be able to transfer the messages, with dates and times, to my computer for documentation of a difficult employee.

There isn’t a way to add text to the message you are forwarding. Once you select FORWARD it requires you to select a recipient and once you do that you can only SEND.

I can no longer forward a text to created groups in my phone. It on allows me to send to individuals. It does not list the group in search and when I type it in it says invalid recipients I have the note 8. I use to be able to do it.

I have several cell numbers on my phone for the desired recipient. When I enter his name to receive the forward, the system automatically chose the 1st number – which was not the intended one. How can I chose the phone the message is forwarded to?

What about forwarding multiple text messages in the same thread?

My Note 8 is too slow in showing the menu after pressing the message in order to forward to another page in social media and even an sms …
