Easy Voice Recorder Pro: The Ultimate Guide

Judy SanhzDecember 11, 2019 Comments (5)

When you go to class, there is just so much information you need to remember. It’s impossible to remember every single detail unless you go crazy trying to write down what the professor is saying.

An app that will help you record your classes is Easy Voice Recorder Pro. The app also has a free version, but with the paid version ($3.99), you can enjoy a lot more useful features.

How to Record an Audio

Creating your first audio is easy. Make sure you’re on the Record tab. At the bottom, you’re going to see a red circle with a white mic in the middle. Tap on that, and the recording will begin.

To pause but not stop the recording, tap on the red pause button. When you’re ready to save the recording, tap on the white checkmark.

How to Listen to Your Recordings

Once you’re done recording, head on over to the Listen tab. Here is where you can find all of your recordings. They will have the date and time of the recording and even the duration.

If you tap on the three dots to the right, you’ll get options to:

  • Resume recording
  • Share
  • Rename
  • Delete
  • Set as ringtone
  • Pin recording
  • Edit
  • Convert
  • Move
  • Copy

Loop and Change the Speed of a Recording

For those times, when you need to get some notes from audio, looping can be very useful. To loop audio:

  • Go to the Listen tab
  • Select an audio
  • Tap on the two arrows that form a box to enable loop
  • Tap on the arrows once more to disable loop

If you want to have a little fun and speed up how fast the audio plays, tap on the 0.5x to the right. The higher you set it, the faster the audio will play.

To really speed things up, tap on the arrows pointing right or left. By tapping once, you’ll be taken to the middle of your recording. When you tap twice, it will take you to the end of the recording.

How to Change the Name of a Recording

Regret naming that audio file “Recording”? If you want to give the file a better name:

  • Go to the Listen tab
  • Tap on the file whose name you want to change
  • Tap on the pencil icon

Another way to change the name of the file is to tap on the three dots and choose rename.

How to Sort the Recording to Your Liking

You can sort out the order of the recordings in various ways. For example, you can change the order of the files, so they are sorted out by:

  • Name
  • Date
  • Length
  • File size
  • File extension
  • Oldest first

To mix things up, just tap on the uneven lines at the top and make your choice.

How to Upload Your Recordings to the Cloud

Accidents happen, so you should always have a backup of all your audios, just in case. The app allows you to backup your audios to Dropbox or Google Drive. To upload your files:

  • Go to the Listen tab
  • Tap on the three dots of the file you want to upload
  • Select Upload to cloud

You’ll need to syn your Goggle account with the app, so uploading future files is even easier.

After tapping on the option to upload the file, you’ll see a blue cloud on the file. That means that the file is being uploaded. When the cloud turns grey, that means that the upload is complete.

Adjust How the Audios Are Recorded

There are other things you can do, so your recordings are just right. For example, by tapping on the icon that looks like a wand, and you can adjust all sorts of things.

You’ll see options to boost volume (mic icon) and Skip quiet sections (an arrow going forward). Other options include Cancel echo (sound wave icons) and Reduce noise (dots).

Conclusion

Easy Voice Recorder Pro offers a lot of great options, but not so many that it ends up confusing you. It’s an app that works well and gets the job done. What do you think about the app? Share your opinion in the comments below.

Is it possible to record more to a recording that has already been saved?

I am using Easy Voice Recorder to record original songs in WAV format to burn to a audio CD. I am using the app on a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active (SM-G891A) running Android 8.0.0. I have experimented with the settings, but so far I have not been able to remove the static (or “noise”) from the recordings. On loud songs, this is not an issue. But on softer songs, the “static” is very annoying. My wife has an iPhone 7S which makes noise-free recordings. I just prefer to use my phone rather than her iPhone (I hate iPhones). Please advise.

didn’t hep exactly: I want to know how noise reduction works with Easy Voice Recorder Pro. I haven’t noticed a difference between similar recordings – haven’t been able to filter out ambient noise. Am expecting app allow me to select a sample of the noise to filter out. Is noise suppression really effective or not with this app?
    Thanks

Hello. Most recorders have some type of auto mike that adjusts the recording volume. How does the easy voice recorder pro do this?
