How to Clear Developer Options from Android Settings

How to Clear Developer Options from Android Settings

By Mitch Bartlett 2 Comments

You can enable Developer Options onĀ  your Android device by going to “Settings” > “About device” and tapping “Build Number” 7 times. But how do you remove the option from Settings if you no longer need it?

To remove the selection from Settings, you can perform a factory reset on your device. But that will delete settings and data from your device. Instead, use this trick.

  1. Open “Settings“.
  2. Select “Apps“, “Applications“, or “Manage apps” depending on your device.
  3. Scroll down and choose “Settings“.
  4. Choose “Storage“.
  5. Tap the “Clear settings” button, then tap “OK” to confirm.

The “Developer Options” selection will now be cleared from the Settings of your Android.
