Samsung Galaxy: “Samsung Keyboard has stopped” Fix

Samsung Galaxy: “Samsung Keyboard has stopped” Fix

April 24, 2018 by Mitch Bartlett 3 Comments

Samsung Galaxy Tab and S8 users may encounter a problem where their keyboard crashes at a “Samsung Keyboard has stopped message, and locking them out of their phone. Here’s how to solve the issue.

  1. Press and hold the “Power” button to bring up the power menu.
  2. Select “Emergency Mode“.
  3. Login to your phone using the Emergency Mode keyboard.
  4. Hold down “Power“, then choose to exit Emergency Mode.

If the Samsung Keyboard has stopped error keeps occurring on your Galaxy, switch to a different keyboard. To do so, open “Settings” > “Language and input” > “Keyboard“. These menus may vary between devices.
