Galaxy S10e: Turn On Flashlight

Mel HawthorneMarch 25, 2020 Comments (0)

The flashlight is a super-useful feature in your smartphone – using it to find things you lost, to hunt for that mosquito in a dark room or just to be able to read your book more easily. Of course, to be able to do all that, you first need to know how to switch it on!

Thankfully, this is incredibly easy in S10 series phones. To turn on the flashlight on your phone, all you need to do is use your icon tray! Swipe down vertically from the top of your screen and a small bar with some icons should appear there.

Top bar pulled out fully

In most cases, the flashlight will be right there, but if you’ve altered the order of the symbols, it may not be. In that case, swipe down again in order to further extend the list of icons visible. Your flashlight will be somewhere among them.

Tap the symbol and your flashlight will come on!

Tip: You can also control the brightness of your flashlight – to do so, pull the tray down fully so you can see the title of the flashlight and tap it. There, you can choose between five stages of brightness. Note that the highest can cause burns if held too close to the skin or eye for an extended period of time, it can cause burns.

To turn your flashlight back off, pull down the tray again, or tap on the notification that will appear in your notification bar.
