Pentium III

The Pentium III is the successor to the sixth-generation Pentium II microprocessor. It’s not a new generation in and of its own right, merely an improved version of the previous version. The Pentium III was introduced in 1999, and offered several improvements to the Pentium II. Further improvements were made to it during its lifetime.
