How to Change the Style of WhatsApp Text

How to Change the Style of WhatsApp Text

October 21, 2020 by Judy Sanhz Leave a Comment

Changing things up every once in a while is never a bad idea. For example, after using the same stickers for a while, you look for more. And, when that happens, you even end up creating your own.

Unless you install a specific app with font styles that’ll make a difference in the style, it is usually the same. The good news is that there are free font apps for Android that will add some style to the messages you send in WhatsApp and in any other app you need to type a message in.

How to Add New Font Styles to WhatsApp

To change how your text looks like in WhatsApp, you’ll need to change keyboards. You probably have your favorite keyboard, but whenever you want to spice things up, you know you can switch to the Fonts keyboard.

When you first install the app, it’ll take you through the installation process and have you switch keyboards. Once the setup is done, the app will let you try out the keyboard before typing in WhatsApp.

So, if you’re not happy with the font styles, you can uninstall the app. When you start typing with a font style, you’ll need to erase what you’ve typed before trying out another style during the testing phase.

All the font styles the app has to offer will be right above the text. You can start typing in one font style, switch things up and start typing in another halfway through your message. If you’ve already started typing and then you see another font you like better, there’s no way to change the font to the one you like better.

You can change things up a bit by long-press on the text and then tap on the dots to make the text bold, Italic, Strikethrough, or Monospace. If, after a while, with your new font style, you miss the keyboard you used to use, long-press on the world icon, and choose the keyboard you want to switch to.

Conclusion

What matters in a message is that the other person can understand it. After a while, it gets boring having to look at the same font style day after day. This app is the most popular in Google Play, but there are other font style apps you can try too.
