Learning useful Zoom keyboard shortcuts for Mac can really save you some valuable time. The seconds you save by not having to reach for the mouse can add up.

The fewer times you have to reach for your mouse, the better. Here are some keyboard shortcuts you can try.

 Mac Shortcuts to Use During a Meeting

  • CMD + Control + V – Starts a meeting
  • CDM + J – Join a meeting
  • CMD + Control + S – Share screen
  •  CMD + J – Schedule a meeting
  • CMD + Shift + C – Cloud recording
  • CMD + Shift + A – Mute/Unmute
  • CMD + Shift + R – Local Recording
  • CMD + Control + M – Mute all guests except host (only the host has access to this option)
  • CDM + Shift + T – Pause/Continue with screen sharing
  • CMD + Control + U – Unmute all users except host (host-only feature)
  • CMD + Shift + S – Begin/Stop screen share
  • Space – Push to talk
  • CMD + Shift + N – Change cameras
  • CMD + Shift + V – Begin/Stop video
  • Ctrl + Shift + R – Obtain remote control
  • Ctrl + Shift + G – Stop remote control
  • CMD + Shift + P – Pause/Continue recording
  • Ctrl + Option + CMD + Show/hide Zoom meeting controls
  • CMD + Shift + W – Switch between active speaker and gallery view
  • CMD + Shift + M – Go to Minimal window
  • Control + N – See the next 25 users in gallery view
  • Control + P – View previous 25 users in gallery view
  • Option + Y – Raise/Lower hand
  • CMD + U – Show/Hide participants panel
  • CMD + Shift + H – Show/Hide In-Meeting chat panel
  • CMD + I – See invite window
  • CMD + W – Show prompt to end or leave the meeting
  • Ctrl + \ – Toggle Always show meeting controls
  • CMD + K – Go to a chat with someone

General Zoom Keyboard Shortcuts for Mac Users

  • Ctrl + T – Jump from one tab to another
  • CMD + T – Take a screenshot
  • CMD + W – Close current window
  • CMD + L – Switch between landscape and portrait view

By logging int your account in Zoom’s official site, you can edit the keyboard shortcuts to your liking. You just need to:

  • Click on your profile picture
  • Go to Settings
  • Choose Keyboard Shortcuts at the bottom left

If you’re using your iPad that connected to a keyboard, you can also use the following keyboard shortcuts.

  • CMD + Shift + M – Minimize the meeting
  • CMD + U – Show or hide users
  • CMD + Shift + A – Turn your audio on/off
  • CMD + W – Close the front window
  • CMD + Shift + H – Show/hide chat
