How to Remove Videos From YouTube Channel

How to Remove Videos From YouTube Channel

Posted on July 18, 2019 by Kat Armstrong Leave a Comment

Just like with any social media platform, YouTube holds a plethora of things most of us would rather not see. I know we have all been guilty of uploading stuff that we wish we wouldn’t have. On Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, deleting something you have already shared is done with a click of a button. On YouTube, there are just a few more steps you have to take in order to delete videos.

The first thing you need to do, is head over to your YouTube channel. Head to the website, and then find your profile picture (you must be logged in to Google, of course). Click your photo and from the drop-down menu, choose ”Your Channel”.

Once there, select the ”Videos” tab.

Select the video you wish to delete so that it opens up full screen. Just under the video to the right, you will see a blue ”Edit Video” button. Go ahead and choose that.

Up at the top next to the video’s title, select 3 dots menu icon, then choose ”Delete”.

When you select ”Delete”, a confirmation box will pop up, reminding you that once the video is gone, it is gone permanently. This confirmation box gives you one last chance to download and save the video if you so choose. Check the box to agree.

As soon as you select ”Delete Video”, you are finished. Your movie has now been erased from YouTube.

Do you have any other YouTube-related questions for me? Please let me know in the comments or via email. I’m always here to try and help.

Happy YouTubing!
