A common problem occurs for Apple iPhone or iPad users when they attempt to use the YouTube app where they see an error message that says:
“The operation could not be completed”.
This message appears on the screen when trying to play any video. Here are a few options for fixing this problem.
1. Reset the Device
You may want to try to reset the device to solve this problem. You can reset the iPhone by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button along with the Home button for about 20 seconds until it restarts. Once restarted, give YouTube another try. Hopefully things will work as they should.
Note: The “Sleep/Wake” button is located on the right side of the iPhone 6. It is located on the top of the iPhone 5 and lower models.
2. Use Chrome
Some users have experienced problems so much that they have resorted to simply using YouTube via the Google Chrome browser. Download Chrome from the appstore and start using YouTube from within the Chrome browser.
