YouTube: Auto Replay Videos

YouTube: Auto Replay Videos

By Mel Hawthorne 1 Comment

YouTube is one of the best streaming sites on the Internet. When it comes to short clips, there isn’t a better source – nor is there for content like music videos, lyric videos and so on. Many people prefer to use YouTube for their music needs over other services like Spotify. Unlike those specifically music-focused services though, YouTube’s functions are a little more general, and less geared towards music. There are exceptions though – the Loop function is one of them.

You can loop any video you are watching with just a few clicks – there are two ways to do so. Here’s how:

1. Click ‘Loop’

If you are on a computer, looping a video is as simple as right-clicking on said video and selecting ‘Loop’. Your video will automatically start up again once it finishes.

If you want to stop looping, you can either click on a link to get to another video or website or by right-clicking and selecting ‘Loop’ again. This function only has one problem – it doesn’t work on mobile. If you want to loop a video on a phone or other mobile device, use the second looping option instead.

2. Loop a playlist

Since you can’t loop individual videos on mobile, you’ll have to go through an extra step to achieve the same effect here. Add your video to a new playlist – the easiest way to do so is to click on the ‘Save’ option at the bottom of a video and using it to create a new playlist. Your video will be the only one on the list. You can then select the Loop function on your playlist control once you’ve clicked Play.

This will work on all devices. Clicking the loop symbol again will stop the repeated play.
