If you have multiple or duplicate shared drives that are showing while you are using Remote Desktop in Microsoft Windows to log into a server or workstation, it is most likely caused from connecting to the workstation or server that already has those drives shared there and is being pulled from your workstation as well.
To keep this from happening, follow these steps:.
- Open “Remote Desktop Connection“.
- Select “Show Options“.
- Select the “Local Resources” tab.
- In the “Local devices and resources” click on “More….“
- Select the plus sign next to “Drives” and uncheck the shared drives on your PC.
