A fair number of apps need access to your contacts to work fully – primarily social apps. If you find yourself wanting to revoke access to your contacts for one or even all of your apps, you can do so easily.
Just press the Windows key and type in Privacy Settings, then press Enter. In the menu that will open, you’ll find a series of options regarding your privacy.
Scroll down on the left until you find the Contacts option. Click on it and you’ll see several settings options. You can either revoke access to your contacts for all apps at once or allow and restrict it for individual apps.
Just move the sliders until you are happy with your settings.
Tip: Some apps don’t function properly without access to certain functions. Apps may request permission again when you launch them the next time – you can allow or deny it based on your preferences. If you reactivate permissions, you can always turn them back off later!
