Your Android screen may sometimes turn green after installing a new OS version. The same problem can also occur shortly after performing a system restore. The good news is that green screen issues occur quite rarely, and some users never encounter such problems. It is worth mentioning that Samsung users tend to experience these issues more frequently than other users. Well, if your screen goes green, follow the troubleshooting suggestions below to fix the problem.
How Do I Get Rid Of the Green Screen on My Android Phone?
Force Shut Down the Device
Press and hold the Power button for about ten seconds to initiate a force shutdown. Wait for a couple of minutes, restart your device, and check if the issue is gone. If it persists, force shut down your terminal three or four times in a row. If the green screen won’t go away after multiple force shutdowns, most likely, the hardware is faulty.
Perform a Hard Reset
Perform a hard reset, and check if this solution does the trick for you. To do that, press and hold the Power and Volume down keys for about 30 seconds. Release the keys when the manufacturer logo appears on the screen. Your device will restart. Wait until it fully boots, and check if the issue persists.

Go to a Repair Shop
The green screen can also indicate the display connector is loose on your device. A faulty display or motherboard can also cause similar issues. Go to an authorized repair center and have your device repaired. If you’re lucky, the repair technicians will quickly reseat the loose connector. But if the display or motherboard is faulty, they may need to replace the problematic hardware components.
Getting a new display, especially an original one, can be quite expensive. If your terminal is pretty old, you’d be better off buying a new device. Instead of paying two hundred dollars to replace the display, add a few hundred more, and you can get a brand new device.
Conclusion
Suppose your Android screen goes green, force shutdown the device a couple of times. Perform a hard reset, and check if this solution solves the problem. If nothing’s working, this could be a hardware-related issue. Go to a repair shop and have your terminal repaired. Did you find other ways to fix the green screen issue on Android? This is how I fixed it. Drag your finger down on the screen to display where it says, Wifi, Sound, Auto Rotate, etc. For some reason my blue light filter was on. I tapped it and my screen returned to normal.
