Using Polymail on a PC and Android Device

Using Polymail on a PC and Android Device

By Mona Leave a Comment

Polymail can be used directly in any internet browser and does require any file to be downloaded. However, Google Chrome is the recommended browser for Polymail. Visit the official Polymail website using an internet browser on your PC. This email application can be downloaded for macOS and iOS.

Setting up an Account

You can add your first email account when Polymail is ready on your browser. The user will be able to add up to 10 email accounts to one Polymail account. First, you will have to select your email service provider. There are various email services supported by Polymail like Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, iCloud, and many other IMAP providers. Next, login into your particular service provider and grant Polymail access to your email account. You will then receive a notification telling you that your emails are getting synced. After the first account has been added, the user can add more accounts, modify preferences as well as add aliases.

Managing Inbox

Polymail offers a foolproof system to its users so that they can stay on top of all their emails. You can archive an email by clicking on the archive button, once you are done with the email. If a new message comes from that conversation, then it will bounce back to your inbox. You can read your mails later by opening the command center and typing later, which lets you decide the time and date when you would want it to show up again in your inbox. You can always delete emails that you don’t need by on the delete icon or just press the delete key on your keyboard. Polymail users can stop receiving newsletters by typing unsubscribe in the command center.

You could avoid spam mails by simply typing spam in the command center. An interesting feature of this email application is that it lets you store an email in a special folder by typing label in the command center. You would be able to move an email to a specific label through the command center. You can see the list of unread emails by changing the display from “All” to “Unread”.

Composing an Email

Creating an Email Template

Plans such as Polymail Basic and Polymail Premium include email templates, which can be used to personalize emails with placement holders. This is beneficial to those who send the same message to a different set of people regularly. Once an email is written using a Polymail template, it can be accessed by the user at any given time. Then that email can be customized and sent to new recipients.

Spellcheck Email

Polymail comes with the spellcheck feature, which checks the spelling of words. However, this application does not come with a grammar checker. The spellcheck does not work when numerous languages are used in one email. You can always choose one language as the default language from the Language and Region settings.

Formatting Text

Polymail lets you format your text when you are composing an email. The formatting toolbar present at the top of the draft email can be used for it. This toolbar lets you change the font size, font color, and font style. It also lets you create bullets, hyperlink text, underline text, italicize text, and bold text. If you want to get rid of any previous formatting present in your draft, you can use the clear formatting icon that will appear once you have highlighted the text.

Sending an Email

Email Tracking

You can send an email to anyone with tracking. All you have to do is click the lightning bolt icon while you are drafting your email. After the email is sent, you will be notified whenever that message is opened. The color of the lightning bolt will change from colorless to blue, once the email has been read. Polymail Basic plan will let you know who has read your email.

Unsend an Email

Polymail lets you undo sent emails from your reaching your recipients within 30 seconds. It saves people from sending incorrect emails and gives them a chance to correct their message. After sending an email, a notification pops up at the bottom of the screen, which shows that the message has been sent. The undo button will be next to this text. Once undo is selected, the email goes back to the draft step.

Polymail on Android

At present, the Polymail team is working on improving the email application on platforms such as iOS and macOS. They would soon start developing the application for Android. Those interested in the Android version can sign up by filling the form available on their official website. They will be notified once the Android app is ready. The Polymail team would keep everyone in the loop by posting updates.
