Thanks to a file manager app, it’s easier to keep your files under control. File Manager Pro is one of those paid file managing apps that help you manage the mess your files can become.
The app may look intimidating at first, but once you know how everything works, using it will be a walk in the park. Using a file managing app offers a whole lot more options than your integrated Android file managing app.
How to Transfer Files From Android to PC
File Manager Pro has an option that allows you to transfer files from your Android device to your computer. For example, let’s say that you want to send a picture you have on your Android device to your computer.
- Open the app
- Swipe down and tap on the PC File Transfer option
- Tap on the Start button
- Enter the IP address the app gives on your browser and press enter
You should now see the file manager content on your computer. Look for that picture and right-click on it. The download option will be the first one on the list.
Keep in mind that you can’t close the app, where it gives you the addy to enter. If you close the app, you’ll get an error message and won’t be able to see the content.
How to Find Hidden Files on Your Android Device
File Manager Pro also has an option that allows you to find those hidden files. This option is not on by default, so you’ll need to enable it. To turn this option:
- Tap on the uneven lines at the top left
- Choose Settings
- Toggle on the Show hidden files option (third one down)
How to Find and Delete Large Files
If you’re ready to part ways with any large files you have on your Android device, the app can also help you with that. Tap on the uneven lines again, but this time select the Storage Analyzer.
Once you’re in Storage Analyzer, swipe down until you see the Large Files option. Tap on and tap on the three dots at the top right to access the Select or Select All option (Depending on the number of files you want to erase). After that, simply tap on the delete option and erase those storage consuming files.
How to Watch Videos in Picture-in-Picture Mode
The app has a little trick when it comes to how it shows you the videos. When you tap on a video to view it and then tap on the back button on your Android device, the video will go into pic-in-pic mode automatically.
That way, you can continue to browse other videos without having to stop watching the current video. If you tap on a video while watching one, the pic-in-pic mode will go away. You’ll need to tap on the back button again to go into pic-in-pic mode again.
On top of the video window, you’ll also see controls to either play, stop rewind, or forward the video. You can also change the layout of the video with the icons to the right of the search option.
How to Add a File to Favorites
To make a file easy to find, you should add it to your favorites. To do that, Open the file and tap on the three dots. Swipe down and tap on the Add to Favorite option.
Another way you can add a file to favorites is by tapping on the favorites option on the app’s main page. On the next page, you’ll see a plus option at the bottom with a plus sign, tap on it to choose and add your file to favorites.
How to Change the Language
There’s no obligation for the app’s language to be English. To switch to another language, go to Settings and swipe to the Language section. Tap on it and choose from a large variety of languages.
The app has a user-friendly interface, so you won’t get confused when using it. It also doesn’t have too many options that will only end up confusing you. Do you think you’ll continue using the app? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
