Update Billing Information on Display+ for Roku

Posted on June 22, 2020 by Mona Leave a Comment

Nowadays people are looking for easier ways of doing things. Instead of upgrading their old TV to a smart TV, they’ve simply opted for Roku. And many people have been looking for a way to watch TV without the hassle of any cable services. This has led to the high demand for Roku. A welcomed technology, Roku has been gaining popularity over the years. The subscriptions offered by Roku are typically far cheaper than that of the normal cable TV.

Introducing Roku

Roku is simply a device that gives you access to watch both free and paid-video contents on the internet. This will give you access to Netflix, Sling TV, Hulu, and YouTube which offer TV and streaming services. Some of them are pre-recorded video content while others are live.  For example, Hulu TV allows its content to be viewed on a day after the content has been aired. However, Sling TV allows its content to be viewed live as it is being aired.

Roku is a square box device which can be connected to your television and be used to watch movies and TV shows through apps which serve as its channels. You can also get a Roku TV which has all Roku gadgets built into it, you only have to switch it on and watch.

How does Roku work?

Roku is plugged into your TV using the HDMI cable connected from your TV to the Roku device. Roku is then connected to the internet through a cable or wireless connection. Roku then download or stream videos from the internet and you watch it on your TV. Different apps are installed on the Roku device which helps to load different movies and TV shows. And you can change from one app to another, just like you are changing channels on TV.

Another great feature is that you can decide which TV show or movie you want to watch at a particular time. Majority of these channels are free, while some are paid for. Those that are paid for has to be subscribed for on a monthly basis. When you subscribe for any channel for the first time on Roku, your billing information will be saved on Roku and you will be charged for subsequent subscriptions using that same billing information. What if you want to subscribe using another credit card? Then you will have to update your billing information on Roku.

How to Update Your Billing Information on Roku

The payment methods on your Roku account will allow you to subscribe to any paid channel that you like. Before you can make any subscription, you have to visit their website my.roku.com and create an account by filling in your first & last names, your email and password. When you want to update your billing information, you have to do the following.

The first thing to do is to visit their website and sign in to your account. After that, you have to click on update under the Payment section. Then complete the required fields and submit it. Make sure you fill in all the important information like your credit card details, full name, address, and phone number. However, if you want to change your payment method, you have to take a step further. After clicking on update in the payment section, you then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Remove Payment Method. Then you can choose a new payment method.

You don’t have to remove your cable TV totally. You can add Roku as complement so that you can have many options when you want to watch TV.
