Pretty much everyone uses a keyboard to interact with a computer as it’s the fastest way to interact. While some users may want to spend more on a high-end keyboard, many users will be perfectly happy saving a few bucks by getting a cheaper option. We’ve drawn up a list of our top 5 recommended budget keyboards.

Redragon K552-RGB

The Redragon K552-RGB keyboard is available for $39.99. It’s a tenkeyless design, meaning it doesn’t have a Numpad. The wired mechanical keyboard uses custom switches designed to be similar to the Cherry MX Blue (clicky and tactile). There are 18 different pre-set RGB lighting modes.

SteelSeries Apex 3

The SteelSeries Apex 3 is a $49.99 full-size mechanical keyboard with SteelSeries own-branded “Whisper-Quiet, tactile switches. It comes with 10 zone RGB backlighting and dedicated multimedia keys. A wrist rest that magnetically attaches to the front of the keyboard is included. The keyboard also has an IP32 water resistance rating meaning it can survive a few drips of water although not being splashed.

Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard

The Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard, available for $41.84 is a full-size membrane keyboard. The styling is very plain, and suitable for offices while the Bluetooth functionality gives you options for using your computer when not sat directly at your desk. The Keyboard also comes with the required 2xAAA batteries that can last up to two years.

AmazonBasics Wired Keyboard

The AmazonBasics Wired Keyboard costs just $19.99 and is a full-size membrane keyboard. The plain styling makes this wired keyboard ideal for office environments. It doesn’t come with any particularly flashy features, but it should be decently reliable and is very cheap.

MOTOSPEED 60% Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

The Motospeed 60% CK62 keyboard costs $49.99 for a small form factor keyboard. Not only does this keyboard do away with the Numpad, but also the dedicated arrow key section too making it just 29cm long. It offers Bluetooth connectivity and comes with a 1300mah battery for 10 hours of usage and 480 hours of standby. It also comes with a USB cable to work in a wired mode, while also charging the battery. The keyboard uses mechanical Outemu Red switches (Linear) and has 19 RGB backlighting effects.
