The good news is that Spotify now shows you the song’s lyrics so you can learn every single word of that song. The feature is easy to find and use. Also, you’ll know which songs have lyrics for you to read since each song will have a label on it with the word lyrics. That way, you’ll know right away if the lyrics for that song are available.
How to Find a Song’s Lyrics on Spotify
You don’t have to see the song’s lyrics while you listen to the song. You can still just listen to the songs. The lyrics are available to free and Premium users and are provided by Musixmatch. The feature is new, so try updating the app or waiting it out if you don’t see it on your device.
To find the song’s lyrics, go to your playlist or find any song. You’ll notice that the song will have a label with the word Lyrics, which means that the song has lyrics for you to read. Tap on the song, so it starts playing when you tap on the bar, which shows what song is being played.
Swipe down to see the lyrics to the song. Here, you can see the lyrics in the small window, but you can also go full screen by tapping on the double arrow icon at the top right. The lyrics will turn white as they are sung. Next to the lyrics, you’ll also find a share option. For now, there’s no option to personalize the background with a specific color or design, but maybe they’ll add that later.
Desktop
You can also see the song’s lyrics on your computer. Simply find the song and the bottom to the right of the control; you’ll see a mic icon. Click on it to see the lyrics in real-time.
