Spotify: How to Never Miss out on New Music

Spotify: How to Never Miss out on New Music

Posted on November 22, 2021 by Judy Sanhz Leave a Comment

You have your favorite artist and podcast on Spotify just like everyone else. So, when they come out with new content, you want to know about it as soon as possible.  You can, thanks to What’s New on Spotify. You don’t have to check each podcast you follow to see if they have anything new to listen to.

You’ll find all the new content in one place—a real-time-saver since you don’t have to look in different places for the new content. What’s new will be marked as new, and what’s not will be under the Earlier section.

How to Find New Content on Spotify

As soon as you open Spotify, you’re going to see a bell icon at the top. If there is new content for you to see, you’ll see a notification dot on the bell icon.

If you’re not sure if you’ve turned on the notifications for new episodes and new music, here’s how you can do that. Tap on the cog-wheel to go to Settings. Swipe down to the Notifications section and tap on notifications.

As long as you’re there, you can manage the notifications for a large variety of options. But if you want to be notified about new music, that option is at the top. That way you can sing along thanks to the lyrics feature.

On the next page, you can decide how you want to be notified. You can choose from push notifications or email. Push notifications are going to be best, so toggle that on. If you want to also be notified about new podcast episodes, go back to the list option options you were just. Choose the New episode notifications option. There, you’ll see a list of shows you follow. Toggle on the shows you want to be notified about.

By making a few changes here and there, you’ll never miss out on any new content. If you follow many podcasts, you might have a lot of content to catch up on, so you can start by getting the new content notifications for your favorite podcasts first.
