Slack: How To Update Your Company Information

Slack: How To Update Your Company Information

Posted on February 15, 2021 by Mel Hawthorne Leave a Comment

Generally, when ordering products online, you have to provide a billing and a delivery address. For most people, this is generally the same and irrelevant, as the address the payment card is registered is where you live and therefore where the product is being delivered. For businesses, it is important to ensure that all the billing paperwork has the correct billing addresses on it for accountability and auditing purposes.

Slack allows you to specify your billing address details and choose to provide additional details on your billing statement if wanted. To do so, you need to go into the billing settings. Unfortunately, there’s no direct way to get there from the main Slack application. You’ll instead need to go through the member management settings. To get there, you first need to click on the workspace name in the top-right corner. Next, in the dropdown menu, select “Settings & administration”, then “Manage members” to open the Member management page in a new tab.

To get to the workspace settings, click on the workspace name in the sidebar, then select “Settings & administration” and “Manage members”.

Once you’re on the member management page, click on the burger menu icon in the top-left corner then select “Billing” from the list.

In the billing section, switch to the “Settings” tab. To purchase a subscription, you must enter at least your country, company name, street address, and town/city. You can also choose to provide a suite/unit number, county/state/region, and postcode. If you want to add any further information you can specify it in the additional notes section. To save your details click the top-most “Save settings” button, just under the form.

Tip: The second “Save settings” button at the bottom of the page, only applies to the “Upgrading & purchasing” section.

In the “Settings” tab of the billing settings, you can configure your company billing information.

When making purchases, it is important to ensure that the billing information is correct. By following the steps in this guide, you can check and configure your workspace’s billing information.
