January 31, 2021 by Mel Hawthorne Leave a Comment

One of the key indicators that many people look for in a job, when they have the flexibility to choose, is “work-life balance.” The exact definition of what this means can vary from person to person, depending on their needs. Some people may want flexible or reduced working hours.  While some may just want to work from home. Others may want to be able to take extra time off if and when they need it. The most common feature that people look for to indicate a good work-life balance is ignoring work communications after work hours.

By not looking at work emails, texts, messages, or taking calls after hours, it’s easier to relax and enjoy your free time. The separation can help to reduce work-related stress and pressure and help to encourage relaxation, which can lead to better work performance.
