You’ve decided to give Signal a try and maybe even invited some friends to join as well. You’ve made some changes to the app, such as enabling the disappearing messages. But, you don’t like the app’s look and want to give it your own personal touch.
How to Customize the Look of Signal
Signal may not have a long list of things you can change, but there are various options to work with. For example, you can change the color and add wallpaper as well. If you ever get tired of what you change, you can always go back into settings and make the necessary changes.
You’ll need to tap on the three dots at the top right and go to Settings to start changing things up. Once you’re in Settings, tap on the Appearance option. There, you’ll see different options to choose from. You can do things such as:
- Change the theme
- Chat color and wallpaper
- Message font size
- Language
Let’s start by changing the theme. By tapping on this option, you can choose from options such as system default, light, and dark. In chat color and wallpaper, you can change things such as the chat color, set the wallpaper, apply dark mode to the wallpaper, and reset the wallpaper.
Sometimes the font size the app uses is too small. That can make reading difficult if you have vision problems. You can make the font bigger by tapping on the Message font size option and choosing from small, normal, large, and extra-large options. The last option is also useful since you can change the app’s language to a language you may want to practice.
For now, those are the only change that can be made. Who knows, maybe in the future, Signal will add more options that’ll allow you to personalize the app more.
Conclusion
Signal allows you to make changes, such as adjusting the font size. It would be nice if you could also choose a different font style. But looks like you’ll need to wait to maybe see that one. Are you happy with the personalization options Signal has to offer? What would you add? Share your thoughts in the comments below, and don’t forget to share the article with others on social media.
