It’s sometimes super convenient to send text messages from your computer instead of your phone. Here are some solutions.
Google Messages on the Web
- Google Messages is available on the web. To enable Google Messages on your phone, open the “Messages” app. Be sure it’s the one that is made by Google. It should have a blue and white icon.
- Select icon located at the upper-right corner, then choose “Messages for web“.
- Follow the instructions about scanning the QR Code.
- You will now be able to send and receive text messages from your computer by using the site messages.android.com
Samsung provides an application called SideSync that allows you to view and control your Samsung Galaxy Android phone on your PC or Mac computer. Just use the interface to access the “Messages” app, and you’re off and texting from your PC.
Dell Mobile Connect
If you are using a supported Android or Apple iOS device and a newer Dell or Alienware computer, you can use the Dell Mobile Connect software to mirror the screen of your phone into a window on your computer. Most but not all Android devices are supported with the product.
If you’re a Google Voice user, you can send and receive text messages using your Google Voice number. Just visit the Google Voice website and select the “Send a message” option.
