Netflix: How to Hide Embarrassing Movie Titles from Viewing History

October 15, 2021 by Judy Sanhz Leave a Comment

You have the guilty pleasure of watching movies your friends always make fun of. If you don’t share your Netflix account, then you have nothing to worry about. But, if you do, you may want to erase those movie titles from the seen list.

By erasing what you’ve watched, Netflix won’t recommend other similar films. Also, you won’t see that movie from the Continue Watching row. The good news is that the steps are easy to follow, and before you know it, you won’t even have to look at any instructions to do this in the future.

How to Erase Title from Your Netflix Viewing History – Android

To erase all those movie titles you don’t want others to see; first, you’ll need to open the Netflix app on your Android device. Make sure you’re on the Home tab and then swipe down until you see the Continue Watching section. Tap on the three dots at the bottom right of the title you want to erase and choose the Remove from Row.

Windows Computer

If you have your Netflix account on your computer, you can erase those embarrassing titles by doing the following. Once you’re on the main page, hover the cursor over the down arrow that’s on the side of your profile picture and choose the Account option.

Scroll all the way down and expand the account that has the title you want to erase. Click on Viewing Activity and look for the title you wish to erase. To the right, you’re going to see a circle with a line across it. This is what you need to click on to erase the title. Once you’ve clicked on it, you’ll see an option that’ll say Hide Series? At the bottom, you’ll also see an option to Hide All the titles on your viewing list.

Conclusion

There will always be movies you like, but others just can’t stop making fun of. Now you know how to erase all those titles you don’t want anyone else to see. Erasing one title is just as easy as erasing all of them. Will you be erasing a lot of titles on your Netflix account?
