I got in the mood to listen to some Eminem on my Apple iPhone recently. So I took the time to copy 24 songs over to the device using iTunes. When I looked on the device though, only 8 of them showed. 16 of the songs were missing. What happened my music?
The most common reason for missing songs is a setting on the device that restricts explicit music or podcasts from being accessed on the device. This setting may have been accidentally set. Try the following steps to check.
- From your iPhone or iPad device, select the “Settings“.
- Choose “General“.
- Tap “Restrictions“.
- Type the password that was set on the device. If you don’t know what it is, ask anyone who has handled the device if they have set a password on it.
- Scroll down to the “Music, Podcasts & News“.
- Slide the “Explicit” setting to “On“.
I hope these steps have helped you and allow you to listen to all the music and podcasts on your iPhone or iPod. Did it work? Did it not work? Share your experience in the comments section below.
