Moto G5 Plus: Insert & Remote SD/SIM Card Tray

Moto G5 Plus: Insert & Remote SD/SIM Card Tray

By Mitch Bartlett 1 Comment

The Moto G5 Plus has a tray that holds both the SIM card and SD Card. It’s a little bit different than on most Android phones. Here’s how to insert and remove the tray.

Ejecting

Locate the tray and pin eject hole on the top of the device.

Use the eject tool included with the device or a paper clip to press inside of the eject hole. The tray should pop right out, allowing you to remove it.

Inserting SD & SIM into Tray

  1. The tray allows you to place the SD Card on one side, and the SIM card on the other. Place them as pictured below.
  2. Once the cards are securely placed in the tray, insert the tray back into the slot. with the SIM side down as pictured below.

Yes! Thank you!!! I was so disappointed when I got my moto g5 plus a year ago and couldn’t find an SD slot. I should’ve been more aggressive in looking into it, but better late than never! Thank you again.
