I’ve had the Microsoft Office 2010 trial version installed on my computer since last year. It hasn’t worked in months, but whenever I try to uninstall the program it gives me an error that says Click-2-Run configuration failure. This error also happens when I try to run the applications like Outlook or Word.
I decided to finally fix this issue today. Luckily I came across an uninstall tool that completely cleaned Office 2010 off my computer.
Visit How do I uninstall Office 2003, Office 2007 or Office 2010 suites if I cannot uninstall it from Control Panel? and use the “Download” version that matches your version of Windows and Outlook 2010 (or your specific version). Launch the downloaded file, and it will wipe all traces of Office from your computer.
If you still need to use Office 2010 and experience this problem when starting any of the applications, running this utility should allow you to reinstall the program and rid you of the Click-2-Run configuration failure error.
