Maximizing HONOR MagicWatch 2 Health Features

With time, watches have evolved to be more than just pocket timepieces and fancy wrist decorations for beautifying and displaying class to what is now known as smartwatches. Since the evolution of smartwatches, there have been many versions and functionalities and each has tried to outdo the others by displaying more smart features. Healthcare Smartwatches have been trending for a while now, and 2019 has been an evolutionary year with everyone trying so hard to stay fit.

Honor Magic 2 is one of these health-focused smart watches. It was released in late 2019, quickly making its way into 2020 as one of the trending watches. The Honor Magic 2 watch comes in two versions, or it is supposed to come in two versions, the bulkier 46mm with larger interface or the smaller, sleeker magic 2 42mm with additional features and stronger Bluetooth.

There has been no update on when the smaller version will be released. One of the main disadvantages or advantages of the 46mm is the size. It has a bigger screen with a very better interface. Many users and critics have complained that while the watch’s big screen may make for better viewing, it does look bulkier or oversize on smaller wrists. It also doesn’t do much as a regular smartwatch but if you are a fitness guru, or just a regular Jane(it must not always be Joe) trying to stay fit or improve your fitness routine then this watch is a perfect fit for you.

If you bought the Honor Magic 2 smartwatch for the sole purpose of staying fit, then here are ways to maximize the watch to serve you better.

Walking Features

Because walking or working out in the dark is a health hazard, the smartwatch has a torchlight to enable users see better and not strain their eyes. It is also used as a weather data monitor(so users don’t jog in the rain.) notifications, car pressure readout, music player and monitors breathing exercises.

The watch costs 159.99 pounds in the United Kingdom. To be able to access most of the additional health features, users need to download the Huwai Health app from Play Store.

Sleep Monitoring

This smartwatch can keep track and manage user sleep patterns as well. After download and set up, users can navigate to the sleep tracking option in profile settings. As soon as this is set to monitor sleep, the watch will track the user’s quality of sleep as long as it is worn during sleep. It does this by keeping track of user breach patterns to detect when the user falls asleep, the quality of sleep, whether deep or light and how consistent the sleep pattern is. The watch also offers tips on how to get more quality sleep.

Exercise Routines

The watch offers about 15 different exercise routines and collects data on user performance and stores in the Huwai Health App mentioned earlier. Using their records, users can check their progress. Just like with most medical procedures recovery time is essential to better health. The app offers recovery time for users to observe before embarking on the next challenge.

The app also keeps track of user cardio-respiratory fitness which enables users to know when they are fit enough to meet their exercise resolutions. To monitor fitness, wearing the watch automatically takes down user fitness info. It records various user activities, like walking, running, hiking, stair climbing, and standing.

Calorie Tracking

Users can also set daily exercise goals by swiping left and selecting daily tracking on the home screen. First-time users may need to input their height and weight. Setting the right weight and height is very crucial to go be able to calculate calories burned. Users can also check how fit they are by going to daily tacking and swiping left. The fitness into is calories burned, standing data, step counts and how long users exercised.

When the notification for the match is turned on, reminders will pop to show if the user is halfway through daily or daily goal has been met!

Goal Setting

When each goal is met, users can then set new, harder goals and in return start exercising more with less risk of overstraining or injuring oneself. It is also very crucial to keep track of one’s weight and the exercise routine continues and new weight and height. On the home screen of your watch, swipe left and select left until the settings screen is displayed.

Users can also set a goal for a particular exercise and commence the exercise. To do so, Swipe left on the home screen, select Fitness tracking and then click Start Time or Start Calories. Swipe up/down on the screen to set your goal, and then touch Start to begin your exercise session. Touch to pause your session and view your exercise data.

Heart Monitoring

Huawei’s watch can monitor your resting heart rate. On the home screen of your watch, swipe left and select Heart rate. Touch and follow the onscreen instructions to allow this app to access the sensor data. Then, this app will start measuring your heart rate. While measuring your heart rate, ensure that the watch is level and that the heart rate sensor is in contact with your wrist. You might need to press down on the watch slightly to ensure good contact. To achieve a reliable reading, make sure that you keep your wrist level.

The maintaining your health and your weight is already tough enough. The Honor Magic 2 is one smart watch that can save you time and energy on your fitness journey.
