Ahhh, Apple. If you have an iPhone, iPad or any other Apple device, you know that you have to have a unique Apple ID. When setting up a brand-new iPhone, you will be required to create one during the process before you can proceed. However, what if you want or need to have access to Apple content and are not setting up a new device? There are two easy ways to do this currently.
How to Make an Apple ID on a Web Browser
Head over to the Apple website on any browser that you are currently using. Scroll to the very bottom of the page. Under the ”Account” heading, click ”Manage Your Apple ID”.
On the next page, look over at the top-right and click on ”Create Apple ID”.
The next screen is where you will come up with your unique Apple ID account name and password. Go ahead and enter your first and last name, your birth date and the country you live in. Enter your email address (which becomes your ID) and a strong password. Now, choose and answer your three security questions in case you are ever locked out of your account for any reason.
After you decide to opt in or out to the various types of emails you can receive, click on the ”Submit” button. You will now be taken to an email verification page. Check the email you entered for the code. Enter the code and click the blue ”Continue” button.
Congrats! You have now created a brand-new Apple ID using the web browser! The last page will have all of your information displayed and allow you to add a payment method if you choose.
How to Make an A
How to Make an Apple ID From iTunesis apparently going away. However, for now… it is still usable, and you can still create a new ID using it!
Head over to the iTunes website and tap that blue ”Download” button at the top-right of the page. Once it has downloaded and installed on your computer, go ahead and open it up.
At the top-left of the page, click on ”Account” and then choose ”Sign In” from the drop-down menu.
A small dialog box will pop up asking you to sign in, but you are going to want to click on the ”Create New Apple ID” link on the bottom-left of the box.
You will now be taken to the same personal information page I discussed above.
The main difference is that in order to proceed on iTunes, you MUST enter a payment method. You will not be able to finish creating the ID without it.
Once you have entered everything, your Apple ID has been successfully created and you can begin using iTunes and all it has to offer!
What other Apple questions do you have for me? How can I help?
