How to Turn Background Data On/Off on the LG G7 ThinkQ

How to Turn Background Data On/Off on the LG G7 ThinkQ

By Mitch Bartlett 1 Comment

Background Data is the data that your mobile device uses when you’re not interacting with your phone. Some apps sync data while you’re not using your phone. Save your data usage by controlling the background data on your LG G7 ThinQ.  You can turn background data on or off for specific apps by using these steps.

  1. Open “Settings“.
  2. Choose “Data usage“.
  3. Scroll down and select an app you wish to set background data for.
  4. Select “Restrict background data” to “On” or “Off” as desired.

When the “Restrict background data” setting is set to “On” for an app, it will not be able to use your wireless network for a data connection. The app may still communicate when connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Yes, it answered my question. If I had known I had to do this for every app, I would have purchased a different phone.
