How to Get iPhone X Animojis on Android

How to Get iPhone X Animojis on Android

By Mona Leave a Comment

Animojis was one of the most talked about features of the iPhone when the Animojis launched, but they have been restricted to only the iPhone X as of now. This is understandable, considering that the software used in creating those animations make use of hi-tech Face ID hardware that is not yet available on other devices.

This means that you will not be able to get Animojis on the iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 plus or any other device from the Cupertino giant.

Nonetheless, if you are using an Android device and love the talking giant pandas and singing foxes, then you will be happy to know that there are some apps on the Google Play Store that can deliver something close to the Animoji experience on your Android smartphone.

If you want those Animojis on your Android device, then look at some of the best apps you can use to get the iPhone X’s Animojis for your own phone.

Keep it in mind that the Animojis you find on the iPhone X makes use of dedicated Face ID hardware to create a 3D model of the face, which is why no regular app will be as accurate and polished as the original is, but they do come close in trying to replicate the Animojis.

Quick Pros & Cons of Android over iOS

Aside from the cheering from their owners, there are several real-world differences between iOS and Android phones. Most of the differences rely on the fact that iOS can be found only on Apple phones, while the Android operates on devices by multiple manufacturers, which has both its advantages and its drawbacks.

Pros of Android

– Versatile
– Third Party Software
– Third Pary Peripherals
– Cheaper Apps
– Modular UI

Pros of iOS

– Better Stability
– Seamless Eco-System
– Better Hardware to Performace Ratio
– Better App Security

Getting Animojis on Android with “Animoji for Phone X”

“Animoji for phone X +Live Emoji Swap Emoticon” is the name of the app that has come closest to replicating the iPhone X’s Animoji feature for your Android device. It is available on the Google Play Store for free, so all you need to do is install it on your device then launch it.

You will be shown a screen that gives you a choice of many avatars to try out. Just point your phone straight to your face, pick the avatar you want, then follow the on-screen instructions. If you want more avatars then you can swipe left on the icons.

After you have picked an avatar, you can now create a 10-second video by clicking the camcorder button as seen in the images above.

Without a doubt “Animoji for Phone X” is a great app, but there are other similar apps on the Google Play Store as well. You can try “Emoji Maker” if you want to create cool, live emojis. Download and once you are on the landing screen, you can either choose to create a new emoji by tapping “New Emoji” or you can scroll down and choose “Popular” to download some of the most popular stock emojis.

Final Thoughts

Although the Animojis offered by these apps are not identical to the ones on the iPhone X, they will offer you an experience similar and because they deliver a quality experience without the high-priced hardware of the iPhone X, they are worth a try.
