How to Use iMessage on MacOS or Windows PC

Posted on February 10, 2018 by Mitch Bartlett Leave a Comment

If you’re in the middle of working on your Microsoft Windows or Apple MacOS PC, it may be more convenient for you to use iMessage on your PC rather than having to pick up your phone to text every few minutes. Here are some solutions for using iMessage from your PC.

MacOS

  1. From Finder, select “Applications” > “Messages“.
  2. Enter your Apple ID credentials for the account you wish to use for iMessage.
  3. Select the + to add a contact, and you’re ready to send a message.

Windows

Apple does not make a native iMessage client that works with Windows. You will need to mirror a device that has iMessage to your Windows PC. Here are some options:

  • Dell Mobile Connect can be used to mirror an iOS device to newer Dell and Alienware computers.
  • LonelyScreen allows you to use Airplay to mirror your iOS device to your Windows or MacOS PC.
  • Mirroring360 is another application that allows you to mirror your iPhone or iPad on your Windows PC.
