WhatsApp or Telegram? Which one to choose. Some can’t decide and end up using both messaging apps. But it can be annoying having two different chats for a contact and opening two apps to re-read a message. It would be so much easier if you had your WhatsApp chat and your Telegram chat in one single conversation.
Telegram allows you to import your WhatsApp chat for a specific contact so you can have it in one single place. You have the option of importing the chat with or without media. The time of the import will depend on how much needs importing.
How to Export WhatsApp Conversation to Telegram
To move a WhatsApp conversation to Telegram, first, open the WhatsApp conversation you want to move. Tap on the dots at the top right, followed by the More option. In the next set of options, tap on Export Chat.
Once you’ve decided whether you want to export the chat with or without the media, choose Telegram from the share menu. When you’re in Telegram, look for and select the contact you want the WhatsApp chat to go. Telegram will start to transfer the chat automatically. You’ll see a cute little duck organizing his things as you see in percentage how far along the transfer is.
You’ll also notice that the timestamp for the messages will be the same as they were on WhatsApp. That’s all there is to it. You can stop opening the same chat in two different messaging apps.
Conclusion
When a messaging app makes transferring your messages easier, it only makes you want to use it even more. Now you can have all your WhatsApp chats on Telegram, and as you can see, it doesn’t take very long. Do you have a lot of WhatsApp chats to transfer?
