If you need to capture an image of the screen on the Samsung Galaxy S6, you can take a screenshot using a simple button combination. This feature is most useful when used with apps like SnapChat or Messenger. We tell you everything you need to know in this tutorial.
Taking the Screenshot
To take a screenshot on the Galaxy S6, press the “Home” and “Power” buttons simultaneously. Hold the buttons down for about 2 seconds. If done correctly, the phone will vibrate and a message will appear in the notification bar. If it’s not working for you, some users have had luck trying pressing the “Home” button just slightly before pressing “Power“. It’s a bit tricky, but keep practicing and you’ll eventually get it right.
Viewing the Screenshot Image File
Once you have successfully taken the screenshot, it will be saved to the phone’s memory. You can view the screenshot by doing one of the following:
- Open the “Gallery” app, then select the “Screenshots” folder.
- Connect the Galaxy S6 to your computer. Once the phone is discovered by your PC, you can navigate to the “Phone” memory. From there, open the “Pictures” > “Screenshots” folder.
