When you think of an IP address, the first thing that comes to mind is your Windows computer or Mac. You usually don’t link an Android device to an IP address, but they do have one. The good news is that the IP on your Android device is easy to find.
When you’re online, your Android device will show its IP address or its Internet Protocol. On a network, you’re only going to see one device with a specific IP address. So, the next time you need to access your device’s IP address for whatever reason, here’s how you can access it at my time.
Where to Find Your Android Device’s IP Address
To locate your device’s IP address, locate and open the Settings app. Go to Network and Internet, followed by WiFi.
Once you’re in WiFi, tap on the wifi connection you’re currently connected to. In Network Details, tap on the Advanced option at the bottom.
In the Advanced option, you’ll see a whole new set of options. Swipe down a little towards the bottom, you’ll find your IP address. It’ll look like 123.456.8.74. If what you need exactly is the IPV6 Address, then you’ll need to swipe all the way down.
Conclusion
As you can see, finding your Android device’s IP address is not difficult at all. All you need to do is go to Settings and do a few taps here and there. There you’ll find your IP address and the IPV6 address as well. Why did you need to find your Android device’s IP address?
